AC did it for me the other day. Was flying YTZ, YUL,ORD,LAX, last legs on UA. Misconnected in YUL. Re-booked, YUL, (AC) EWR,LAX (UA). At my request AC added my final dest SLC onto the tags. The last leg was UA, on a separate ticket. I had to provide flight and PNR.
