Have until 7th Jan to cancel my booking, but I think I'm going to stick with a standard room at DAM, with possible upgrade subject to blah blah 8 for 6 offer from Amex.
I think the upgrade might be fairly meaningless though as they are micro graded, so we'd probably just get a "superior" room instead of a standard one. I'd prefer a sea view to be my upgrade rather than the room honestly. I doubt they will give us a suite, they are more than twice the price, but I will do my damnest to get one if possible

I could get Winter Flavours 1/2 board at JBH or Zabeely (and double sirius points) with a balcony room for around the same price but we really liked DAM. I prefer it to a big hotel and also like the privacy and big balcony. Mrs P loves the bathroom/private pools and Little Miss loves the fact that she gets to sit next to the buggy driver every time we have to go somewhere

Sometimes it's just not worth taking the risk when you know something is good. I didn't think the savings were worth the risk of regretting not going to DAM
