What you can do is monitor R capacity, and play agent phone roulette till you find an agent that will clear your GPU. It works to your advantage that you're not checked in, making it harder to see that you wouldn't be first on the list.
It's not supposed to work this way, but it can and it does.
Isn't this one of the reasons that they eliminated the ability to view the booking codes a month or so ago? Btw, R capacity doesn't get a guy a GPU upgrade. I dun-no, tying up the res lines might really be pissing them off if everyone does it at T-24 for one available seat, and especially when the squeaky wheel gets the upgrade ahead of a guy that plays by the rules!
