Once saw a FA stand between F & Y on MD-80

Each pax that walked by she would say:

Big one left side wheels 1st / little one under seat

or
that goes on right side

etc

She was friendly and everyone complied.

She says in 4 years she has only had 2 pax need to gate check.

She should be a trainer.
