When I fly on Qantas (out of SYD) I don't even get priority tags! when I've complained about this in the past I get the (correct) response - Baggage allowances/priority are not covered by one world agreements. Its entirely up to the airline concerned.
In SYD even if the Check in girl adds a tag it gets ripped of by the baggage team and sorted according to the electronic tag (Y). She even showed me the screen which stated baagage = Y, and put a FC tag on. When I got the bag with the economy bags there was no tag.
Out of HKG its fine by the way on QF.
