Strict enforcement of first in overhead, and second under the seat
Flew American few weeks back Chicago->LAX.
The flight attendant was hyper aggressive in enforcing the one bag in overhead cabin, and the other underneath the seat.
That said, some passengers (~ 10) who came at the very end got a better deal, since they got much more empty space, and this flight attendant was busy with some other stuff.
While I've heard the announcement gazillion times, it's the first I've seen this being enforced aggressively. I'm ok with the enforcement, but it should be uniform, not when the flight attendant happens to watch someone.
