If your liquor is in the sealed duty free bags, with the red tape strip, you can go through any airport in Thailand and still bring your purchase with you. Just ensure that the bag is still in its originally sealed state.

As for the duty free problems of years ago, I would consider those cases closed. With social media the way it is, we'd certainly hear about it, IF it was still going on. And by the way, how would whiskey in a sealed bag from Doha be a problem, if walking through a duty free shop in BKK. I call this post a TROLL!
