Sometimes I get so frustrated when calling BAEC (Bremen)

Yes this has been discussed to death but I'm so frustrated right now

Not only is it a 9-5 operation Mon-Fri. No way to call evenings or on a weekend. We have the same Tier Points requirement as UK but less service

Today I called and asked to arrange an upgrade JNB-CPT, I had already checked ba.com so I knew there were availability. The conversation was something like this (agent lines in bold):

- Hello. I want to upgrade sector JNB-CPT on booking reference xxxxxx

- Sir, this is not possible as it's not a BA flight, you can only upgrade BA-flights

- This is not correct, it's a BA flight and even though it says Comair, it's BA

- As I said, you can't upgrade South African airlines, only BA

- But I have done this maybe 20-30 times over 10 years

- No, I don't think so

This is when I simply gave up. I can't upgrade on ba.com, this feature has never ever worked and I'm speaking many years. Maybe you must be a BAEC UK member? I always get the message:

"Sorry, it is not possible to change this booking on ba.com. Please call your local British Airways office to change this booking"
Sometimes you get excellent agents when calling Bremen but mostly you get agents without proper or very basic training.
