Had a 2 night stay there in december. 1st night paid (139.00$), 2nd night as the stay 1 get 1 free. Daughters also had a separate, stay 1 get 1 room for the sat night
Reserved standard room. Upgraded to deluxe, which is the 2nd level of rooms. The third and highest being a studio, which were all booked for a wedding. There are no suites here.
Parking is underground beneath the hotel and you are charged 18.00 per night.
Checked in around 10pm on the friday. Keys, etc. were waiting for us. INcluded was a 25% discount coupon for restaurant. Being concierge, there was also 2 vouchers for each night for breakfast. Wife staying with me.
Room, on the 4th floor was very clean and had an awesome view of the harbour and Toronto Island. Not sure of size, but it was on the small size. Bathroom was smallish and basic.
Needed ice, so i grabbed the ice bucket, and was amazed to see that it had already been filled with ice. NOt sure if this was done at turn down time but it looked like it was recent.
For breakfast, i could have anything on the menu. We took the buffet. Lots of fruit and food was hot. Could order eggs any way we wanted. DIdnt eat at the other restaurant and didnt visit the lounge bar. THere is also a Shoeless Joe's restaurant attached to the hotel.
Pool is outdoors and located on the 4th floor patio. Closed because of weather obviously
Area is mostly residential condos. Would be much nicer in the summertime. Took a cab for dinner at Ruth's CHris Steakhouse. Walked to the Princess of Wales Theatre for a show (Warhorse was awesome, btw), then walked back to our hotel. Took about 20 mins and was around 11pm. Felt safe and had no issues with walking downtown that time of night.
Generally, we had no issues and would come back again, esp. in summertime.
