The bar on the top floor of the Shangri-La isn't too bad (Jade on 36).
For anything else- Shanghai (as opposed to Pudong) wins hands down every time.
I end up staying quite often at the Shangri-La for work convenience- the other side of the river is much more interesting for activities other than work however. Mr and Mrs. Bund by the way is quite a nice new restaurant for Shanghai and has a great wine list where fortunately they are not following the typical Shanghai policy of markup to the maximum.
