As a point of reference, I do have the Platinum card stored with Delta for purchases. Maybe that's it?

As far as the delay, I have a new Plat card account that was opened up about 9 days ago. That's the card stored in the system (they provided me with the # to use online) - their systems won't allow replacement cards within 10 days of account opening. Don't ask me why.
