Made a trip to Yangon last year. Did the Visa through the embassy in DC so mailed it off a couple months before the trip. Easy peasy. Airport is not so close to Yangon. People were great and I enjoyed the trip. Try the "circle train" (google it) if you get a chance. Expect the typical scams of bad taxi drivers, the people that try to grab your luggage as you walk out of Arrivals and demand a tip, and money changing scams. When I was there there were no credit card options so I had to bring in crisp clean unmarked $100 USD. It is also a good idea to bring in lower denomination USD that are newish as well. Have fun.
