Why is UA Operating an AMS-IAH Flight Using an Old 76H Aircraft?

Just noticed that the equipment on my flight from AMS-IAH has been changed to the 76H configuration.

Why would they rotate this bird on this route? They have completed all but one reconfiguration on the 764s so it would seem odd to put this old bird on this route, especially with heavy C traffic.

Any clues or speculation as to why?
