This is a uniquely HK problem. Banks insist on 1) having your full name on your credit card/atm card and 2) Having it in a specific format of Surname-First Middle. There is no section for how you want your name to appear on your card like they have in N. America and Europe.
It really gets annoying when traveling internationally as some non-HK ticketing agents get confused and book my tickets as Middle Name + Surname which then have to be changed.
Back to the OP's question: Chong Hing bank lets you open up a basic savings account with an initial opening deposit of HK$10. Then you only need to use the bank's atm or make a teller withdrawal once a year (teller deposits don't count as anyone can do it on your behalf) to show some actual activity to avoid a fee if your balance in under HK$2000. If the balance is over HK$2000 then there is no fee. The thing is, there aren't that many Chong Hing branches around HK, but they do have a branch in each of the main business & tourist areas.
