I couldn't see any champagne though.

In the main section the offering is reasonable, for beer there's two lagers (Stella and Becks I think) and Black Sheep Ale. A selection of soft drinks and spirits.

There were scones out when I was using the lounge, there was also sachets of Marmite out on the workbench but I think they forgot to put them away from breakfast (what order do you put Marmite, clotted cream and jam on a scone?).

I think the lounge is fine for a contract lounge in an outstation. I'd say it's better than most Servisair offerings and it's good that BA (and KLM) have decided that their pax don't need to pay for the wine (not that I was drinking any - I had the ale).

Overall BA seem to have made a effort on a route many think as a slot filler. All the Servisair staff that handle BA are wearing BA uniforms, all the check-in desks were manned (4 of them) despite the low loads, fast track is available.

It would have been so easy for BA to cut costs on this route and just keep the staff in a Servisair uniform like the other airlines do there, not bother with fast track, only have 2 check-in desks, etc but it looks like BA are trying to make it work.
This is the BA/KLM section with the wine, it is not really roped off though
