The bmi flights to LBA and MME used to carry BA codes in addition to the BD ones and you could book flights from LBA with a connection onto BA's longhaul network on ba.com

So when this route was operated by bmi it still had access to BA's route network, in addition to bmi's and it probably also carried codes from most of Star Alliance too.

That said, I hope BA makes it work, at the moment loads are light, but it means you can get a nice bmi shorthaul business class seat and pull the right lever to move the armrests into the middle to make a wider seat and press the button to bring down the drinks tray that covers the middle seat.

Now why do they screens still say 'bmi'? I thought updating this would be easier than repainting or replacing all the brown leather seat covers with blue ones. Does the system still contain bmi content? Is the bmi safety briefing still in the system and what about the bmi boarding music consisting of unpopular songs from the turn of the millenium.
