In the event New England operations get bad, causing delays between BOS and DC, I'm planning to take Amtrak to JFK (on my own dime) or ask to be rebooked on DL to JFK or US/DL to LGA. If AA normally sends bags ahead of schedule, then I can rest easy knowing that my bags will make it on to CX's hands no matter how I get to JFK.
