I'll be flying DCA-JFK in the evening, connecting to CX JFK-HKG service. However, I'm planning to check my bags in early in the morning. Does AA normally send bags on earlier flights if there's space available?

In the event New England Northeast operations get bad, causing delays along the New England Northeast air corridor between BOS and DC, I'm planning to take Amtrak to JFK (on my own dime) (on my own dime after asking AA to cancel the AA segment and protect the CX segments) or ask to be rebooked on DL to JFK or US/DL to LGA. If AA normally sends bags ahead of schedule, then I can rest easy knowing that my bags will make it on to CX's hands no matter how I get to JFK.
