I ended up splitting my Shanghai stay between the PH and the Pen, both properties were great, but the PH was definitely more "wow" - the altitude of the hotel, fantastically designed room and bathroom, the views, the pool on the 10X floor. Service was also more polished and refined at the PH, as in arriving at 10 am, going directly from the car to the room, where fresh juices and pastries were waiting for us.
