Well it wasn't that specific flight, but I was upgraded on GMP-KIX to the upper deck of a 747 at check in simply by asking. Flight back to GMP, no such luck.

Someone told me about that upgrade here, I asked if that was true. She said it was and I asked if it was possible to do on my flight because it would've been wonderful. Boom, bam, a business class seat printed on an economy ticket.
