PP reloads are a pain to use (extra steps/cost), plus could create issues with PayPal that I'd otherwise not have. No sane person would choose them over VRs given the choice.
As it appears almost everywhere else has had VRs available for weeks/months, I'm just trying to judge if PP reloads are somehow supposed to be the defacto substitute for VRs in my area (Bay Area/Norcal).
Because making this entire BB deal public on this forum along with a set of instructions resulted in the basic deal through OD being killed - now we need an extra step and cost to do the same thing, and bloggers could easily kill OD as a source of cards altogether making the Ink card bonus vanish for the majority of us who are doing this process quietly, slow and steady.
I don't want to do 5x the work to get to the same endpoint because some people can't keep a good deal within our community and need to blab to the whole world.
Paypal is an untrustworthy, very unpredictable organization where I would be very concerned about having more than $100 sitting under their control. They freeze accounts willy-nilly and can lock an account and keep the balance almost indefinitely if they suspect activity that even slightly annoys them. I would not be using them if it could be avoided in any way.
