You're experience is different than mine at least for arrival. For boarding more often true, but I find it very rare that they actually use them both for disembarking. Then it is always a guess as to whether it is will be door 1 or 2, but door 1 is usually the exception.
My experience also - if you are in the front J cabin, some pax face forward, some back, while I try to look and see which bridge seems to be most likely.
And I have frequently had the experience where deplaning from the front of the forward cabin through door 2L, Y pax are way ahead of me. While I am not a fan of SQ, they are very careful to let F then C deplane before the Y curtain is even opened.
