Flight Attendant School
I just finished watching the reruns on YouTube for the second time in 1 week after seeing the original run on the Travel Channel. I was wondering if any member here was part of this class as I would love to talk with you as I am interested in a career as a Flight Attendant and have applied as a flight attendant and want any info about preparing for the tests etc. If not any F9 flight attendant would be great to talk with even if its not airline specific I can get a feel for the preparations.
I am an avid traveler and have learned a lot of airport codes since I started booking travel online since I was 12. Whenever I use Expedia I generally use the IATA codes but would love to learn more. I enjoy geography and am quite familiar with the Military Time as this is used on European Flights and itineraries. I am pretty familiar with the Airline Codes and abbreviations.
I know there is a lot to learn but have mentally prepared myself as I completed an online Masters Program in E-learning so studying for hours is nothing new to me.
I enjoy swimming so the water evacuation drill should not be a problem. I am able to react quickly in emergency situations and have watched many videos on YouTube on safety demonstrations so the speech should not be a problem.
During my free time I enjoy watching safety videos from all types of Aircraft from 747s to Airbus 380s and the small planes like the CRJ. The airline I'm going to for Open House flies small planes.
If Frontier was hiring today for Flight Attendants I would go to the program because I love the strict rules. I have never missed a flight, class or assignment and graduated with Honors. So being on time for class is top priority. When I fly I tend to arrive 2 hours before my flight and allow time for traffic.
I flew on F9 back in 2005,2006,2007 when they were flying out of SJC. I love the Airbus 319,320 airplanes. In fact on one F9 flight there was a French voice telling us to fasten our seatbelts using the automated seatbelt announcement. I thought it was cool to hear it in English and French.
I love watching the GPS Flight track map as this helps me with my geography. Ever since I was 4 I learned timezones and geography.
When I was 12 i was fascinated by the travel industry and enjoy flying. I can remember taking my first overseas trip at 12 and enjoying it very much.
In 1st Grade our class adopted two flight attendants and we learned a lot about what they do. We got to go onboard the plane. We spent the year with these two Flight Attendants doing events such as decorating the Christmas Tree in Terminal A SJC etc.
So if anyone from the 2005 class such as Annie(would be great since she is third generation working for an airline) would be great to talk to. If Suzette is around on this forum shout out to me-don't worry I respect you.
I wish I was part of the 2005 class because I would have worked together to make the house environment better for y'all. I love studying as part of a team so it saddened me to see the discourse.
I greatly appreciate any assistance and you can PM me and we can go from there.
I was deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Pam Gardner. I fondly remember reading an article in the news about her as she was born in Palo Alto CA and I could not comprehend that such a nice individual with a warm heart would die so soon. She was one of the reasons why I enjoyed watching the program. What a loss it was and I just could not understand why someone so young and full of life would pass away so young.
Have a Happy Holiday Season.
Best,
Daniel
