Last month I applied for AMEX Hilton CC and Citi Hilton Reserve Card. Maybe I missed the Hilton Member ID during my application or not. my new AMEX hilton CC linked correctly to my current Hilton Account, but it looks like that my Citi Hilton Reserve Card does not link to my current Hilton Account because I received a new Hilton Gold member card which clearly states it comes from my Citi Hilton Reserve Card.

So now I have two Hilton Accounts. one is my original one, which links to AMEX. The other is a new one, which are created automatically when Citi Bank processed my CC application.

Is there any benefits to have two separate accounts? I do not think so. But it looks like that i will have separate Hilton points and might also lose my hilton history. So I am thinking I might need to consolidate these two accounts. So what is the best methodology to do that?

should I call Citi bank to let them change my linked Hilton Account? So I call now or wait the sign-up bonus posted? I also would like to have the gold stutus on my original Hilton account and have a consolidated Hilton point account. But I do not want to mess up the whole thing if I will lose the sign-up bonus Citi Bank should credit to me. I aslo see Hilton has a function to consolidate accounts but I doubt it is the correct way to do.
