I am curious as to why you still follow the Hyatt thread. I took Marriott off my short list some years ago, and don't bother following the Marriott board since there's no point.
Another reason some of us follow other forums is that even though we've long abandoned programs such as Hyatt, we still look for promos to take advantage of and/or we still have a boatload of points to burn and any hints to maximize the use of burning those points will be welcome. One of the easiest ways to find out that information is to continue to frequent those forums.
for me, once I'm done the burn down like I was with Hh three years ago, I just stay away from that forum for the most part as there is little for me to gain over there.
