Even 1 hour is plenty of time to make just about any walk work, assuming that the inbound is on time. All that is required is 30 minutes to get to the far gate to be there for the start of (most) boarding. This assumes that one walks at a reasonable clip. We tend to walk faster than average, so 30 minutes would allow any gate to any gate within all of DFW for us.

The only reason we ever take the skylink is if we are under 30 min and our gate is in another terminal. Sometimes we even do it then. Moderate walkers all carry on we do a leisure mile in 20 minutes. Caveats- don't try it in heels, the walkways usually are working if it is close and good people watching is available. 1 mile = 100 cal
