Hyatt improving service for Diamonds? That is new to me. The same bad service for several months now. Hyatt used to be top class. In these days it is just a shadow of that.
For me, I avoid Hyatt whenever I can and I won't extend my Diamond status unless it can be done for really really really small money. Otherwise, I am much more happy with SPG.
It must depend on travel patterns, as I have not shared at all in your bad experiences. I have increased my SPG share since they stepped up to the plate in March, but not because of any Hyatt shortcomings.
I am curious as to why you still follow the Hyatt thread. I took Marriott off my short list some years ago, and don't bother following the Marriott board since there's no point.
