With all its problems the NYGH has added a VIP manager. The HR Long Beacjh has also added one and I have been upgraded to Executive suites lately.
The HR Waikiki has been upgrading Diamonds more frequently to really nice suites. This seems to compensate for decreased GP promotions.
IMHO Hyatt has decided better Diamond treatment creates more loyalty than promotions.
Hyatt improving service for Diamonds? That is new to me. The same bad service for several months now. Hyatt used to be top class. In these days it is just a shadow of that.
For me, I avoid Hyatt whenever I can and I won't extend my Diamond status unless it can be done for really really really small money. Otherwise, I am much more happy with SPG.
