I have noticed an effort by Hyatts to improve treatment of Diamonds.
With all its problems the NYGH has added a VIP manager. The HR Long Beacjh has also added one and I have been upgraded to Executive suites lately.
The HR Waikiki has been upgrading Diamonds more frequently to really nice suites. This seems to compensate for decreased GP promotions.
IMHO Hyatt has decided better Diamond treatment creates more loyalty than promotions.
Other than a VIP manager -- duties of which were possibly done by others before -- none of the rest of the above seems new to me as that is all within the range of what I experienced before as a Hyatt Diamond even before the promos were downsized.
