I don't have a credit card in mind to apply for in order to close a personal account to move CL to newly open account. My annual fee for the United Explorer is coming up next year.

Does Chase allow you to move CL before closing the credit card? If so, is it better done by SM or call. If calling, what number and which department is best to talk to?
