Or if cost is the issue, normal train from LGW to Victoria, then underground to LHR with one change from the District-Circle to Piccadilly line.
I did this last Saturday with my daughter and it cost £12.70
total for both of us one-way. We did consider the National Express bus but this would have been nearer £50 as for some reason a 15 year-old is treated as an "adult" - even though she isn't in the eyes of the law and is still at normal secondary school
I should I say have a "Network" rail card which got me 33% off the normal off-peak fares in the South East - but even without this the train route would have been less than half the National Express bus fare. This train and Underground method took about 90 minutes from LGW South to LHR T5. The bus would have been quicker as this was a Saturday early evening when the M25 is very quiet but we were in no hurry and I really objected to the thought of paying £50 for both of us for a 45-50 minute bus ride
