PHL-SYD Mixed fare basis. GPU use?
I ran a search but didn't find anything definitive.

I'm looking to fly PHL-SYD in a few months using GPUs to upgrade outbound and return.

Lately the UA site is returning pretty good fares that book into a K fare basis for the domestic legs to LAX or SFO and a W fare basis for the transpac leg.

Does anyone have experience upgrading a mixed fare basis ticket with GPUs? It looks like it should be no problem to apply it to all the legs but I'd like to be sure.
