I do not disagree with you, but I used to get a major cold once a year or so.

I have learned that the chances of catching the germs of someone else are greatly reduced as long as you wash your hands thoroughly before touching sensitive body parts such as your eyes, ears, nose and mouth, as well as before eating.

When someone coughs without covering his or her mouth, I try to breathe the air away from them by turning my head.

As a result — other than a few colds so minor that they are not even worth mentioning — I have not been sick in years.
