Totally agree with this. For my 7 month old, I bring two little books (one new one, and one of her favorites) and then two or three non-noise making toys. That's usually plenty at her age. I'm sure things will change as she gets older.

Oh, and we now buy her a seat, as well. She was an easy lap baby when she would sleep in our arms, but she won't do that anymore, so the car seat next to us is critical. It makes it so much easier to go to the lav and to eat my own meal when it is served. As a bonus, she earns her own miles - she'll be elite before her first birthday!
