Does anyone know what is going to happen with BA avios and status on this new partnership of Qantas and Emirates?

I assume that the old Oneworld rules will apply to Qantas ticket flights (even if on Emirates metal) so you will earn the equivalent Avios as per the exec club rules and status will still work (seats/lounges/avios seat redemptions).

What about if you buy an Emirates ticket? I'm guessing you get no OW benefits and avios points (even if on Qantas metal).
