After several intl trips with our 10 month old, I'm settled on the opinion that HABA toys (a German brand, commonly found in both NA and Asia) are best. They are wood, which is good for a few reasons. First, they work as both teething toys and play toys. Second, you can clean them off pretty easily with a wipe whereas plastic toys dont really clean off all that easily without a sink. Third, my son cant get tired of them -- if I dont give him a new HABA toy until after we board, the interest in the new toy usually doesnt diminish for a while into the flight.
