Hi all, I'm new to FT too. My Koru expired a couple of months back, and I had the standard month's grace to renew with Koru still active. At the end of that month, I spoke to Koru contact centre, and had a call back to advise that I was upped to Gold early, with a couple more domestic trips still to happen to technically make it to Gold, which probably won't happen until Jan. It was made (very) clear that this was not a 'typical' upgrade - you are more likely to have a chance of being bumped up when you are probably no more than a flight or so away from Gold, but I guess this is done on a case by case basis, how many flights you already have booked......and how many points you are about to lose from last year........a good turn out in the end
