The Club Lounge at the IC Citystars Cairo (The better of the 2 IC properties I think but the location may not work for some) is brand new and opened only a few months ago after moving upstairs from it's former location.
The rooms and suites there are also slightly more modern (the club rooms particularly so).
The Citystar hotel is terrific, switched on: Semiramis comfortable enough, but dowdy and creaky outside its smart new reception area. Citystars has now one of the very best club lounges in the IC chain; its health club is fabulous.
The Citystars downside (for the tourist) is its position: next to an enormous, ritzy shopping mall, but anchored in a middle class suburb, miles away from anything of interest. And the Semiramis couldn't be more central:and it has views!
In the current political climate, Citystars' downside becomes its advantage - just 10 minutes from the airport...
