Taxes on UuA and Companion Ticket

I've tried to find this information throughout the guides listed above but to no avail so hoping someone can give me an answer.

If I want to use a companion ticket, combined with a UuA ticket, do I just pay the taxes of the original flight or do I also have to pay the taxes of the companion ticket? In other words, does the companion ticket only cover the ticket price and not the taxes?

Thanks in advance
