It is a business decision for Adorama. I pay more than that in extended warranty. Due to having photography income I do not qualify for CC extended coverage. YMMV

I now look at Adorama before B&H knowing that I have VIP and extended warranty. Many items at Adorama and B&H have exact same pricing.

Just like my Amazon prime. I always go there first and then verify that their price is reasonable.
