Bummer.
I was thinking about this. The "Z" checkpoint is really small. They'd have to do a lot of remodeling.

Frankfurt is notorious for a lot of frisking (I've been lucky); this could reduce that, or it could reduce it to just touching only a "suspect" area of the body.

I'm not saying that it's a good idea; I'm just thinking that Frankfurt and Berlin have always been quite "hands on."

I don't like the MMW, but I'll tolerate it (provided it's a Gumby-upgraded machine.) I just think that security resources should be spent elsewhere.

I was thinking that the MMW might be more palatable if it worked. And it would be much more palatable if it didn't require the "I Surrender" position.

We'll see what happens in Germany. I anticipate that this will set the stage for future expansion in Europe.
