They would gain a much, much larger share of the transatlantic market from the UK than they currently have.
Though I wonder what the implications for the Delta/AF/KL/AZ transatlantic joint venture would be. VS isn't part of that - can it be simply and easily absorbed into it after a takeover? Or does it require competition clearance from the US and the EU?
