Actually, Dr. Pepper is part of the Snapple Group, which also owns 7-Up. I've always been surprised that AA offers DP but not 7-Up. Mr. Pibb is a Coke product.

As a long-time DP addict (I even keep a small cane-sugar-variety stash in the back of the fridge for special occasions ), I'm always delighted to get on the plane headed home from afar and getting that first taste of my favorite ambrosia after a long stint away. DP in the UK is not made the same (and tastes awful); it's nonexistent on most of the continent. However, the Belgian variety also uses cane sugar and is quite good -- when you can find it.

I do agree that Sierra Mist is vile stuff, but at least it's not Mountain Dew!
