People should give RJ a closer look - 33" pitch in Y on the A340 with 3 meal options. Will have more to report back in Jan after family travels on it with my miles and reports back on it for ORD - AMM - DEL - choose that over ORD - EWR - BRU - DEL mainly because there's only one daily ORD - EWR and seems a little risky for Jan. If only AA flew ORD - BRU or had better connection times with AY in HEL.
Agree - RJ is quite satisfactory. Flew DEL-AMM-ORD with them in 4/2012 and was pleasantly surprised. Meal options were rather tasty. Only thing is there isn't a veg option so make sure to request that if your family members are veg - however they do offer a Indian veg breakfast ex-India and it was absolutely delicious. Lunch was followed by a snack mid-flight and light meal before landing as well. Pitch was more than comfortable on the A340, but it's quite tight on the 319s which ply the AMM-India routes. IFE is adequate for a one-off flight but it would get stale quickly. It was pretty hilarious watching a censored version of Office Space though (how can you edit out the O-face scene!). I don't know if the new terminal at AMM is open yet but the old one is quite spartan and would be dreadful if you had more than an hour or two to kill.
