Thanks Wendy Perrin for your response. I read your articles every month (although I do not like getting unsolicited SMS's from you). CNT really makes a point about their "Truth in Travel" and I have to say that I am a believer.

Still, you have to take all the suggestions with a grain of salt. CNT is geared to the luxury traveler with no allowance for budget minded souls. Just look at the ads; page upon page upon page of frivolous US$8000+ watches and $2000 travel wear ensembles. Who buys that stuff? Nobody I know. But that's o.k., their ads subsidize my $12/year subscription. Thanks for the clarification.
