I see the "WN" as a variable, like algebra. I say "WIN" as I would say "x" in an algebraic expression. But, my brain automatically substitutes the constant value "Southwest Airlines." Since nearly all the writing on this forum is from the standpoint of application, I substitute the actual value in my mind, Southwest Airlines. For the theoretical uses such as WN>AA when Standby <>1 and When WN =1 bag fee = 0 AND Elite <> 0 else bag fee ≥ 25, the the simple WN suffices. (Note: when WN = 1 division by bag fee is undefined.)
In non symbolic: Southwest is better than American unless you need to stand by and if on Southwest Airlines the bag fees are $0 and on other is it $25 or more unless one is an elite on the other airline.
