LCD and LED are the same, as far as viewing, because the LCD panel is the same in each. The primary difference is that LED monitors and TV's use less energy than similar LCD ones do.

Also, be careful using a 32" TV as a monitor. The response rate is slower and on a screen that large 720p and even 1080p won't look very sharp up close. You'll really do better with a higher resolution 27" or 30" IPS monitor.
