I am looking at the DIR-505

Need a device that will connect to both wired and wireless networks and then allow my devices to connect to that device.

Ideally needs to connect to 1) wired connections 2) open wireless networks (usually where a separate login is required) 3) secure wireless networks

I believe that the DIR-505 can be configured using a tablet or similar device allowing the laptop to be left at home.

I think the DIR-505 might do it for me, and hopefully for you - but need confirmation from an existing user.
