Also why is the codesharing limited to LHR only?
I haven't checked the schedules but historically, transatlantic flights arrive in London and the continent in the morning and SAA departs those cities in the evening, making for very long connecting times - like 8-12 hours or even more.

Has something changed with London connecting times?
