I signed up for the deal. Just received my Membership Cards, but no reference to the 5000 Aeroplan points. I called Costco Membership services, got an agent who told me that a separate certificate would be mailed to me 4-6 weeks AFTER I receive the membership cards with a PIN, etc to claim the 5000 points. Will post again in 4-6 weeks one way or another.
